A couple weeks ago, Google announced the release of a new Google Toolbar. It appears that with this release it is harder to see the PageRank indicator and even make it part of the standard bar options.A WebmasterWorld thread has one searcher explaining that the only way to see the PageRank indicator is to click on the “more” link in the toolbar. Furthermore, he said the indicator “cannot be dragged onto the main display.” I am not sure if that is true or just user error or a bug – but still, hiding it under “more” it a nice step.Wow! I didn’t try this myself but if this is true then wow!We know that Google’s Matt Cutts has always wanted PageRank removed from the toolbar. Adam, back then “mini-Matt” asked for feedback on the removal of PageRank from the toolbar. Plus we know, many SEOs want it gone from the toolbar. There were rumors in 2008 that Google was removing it and it 2009 they removed the data from Webmaster Tools. So as you can see, this is a major change to the toolbar at least from a public relations and SEO history perspective.
